Responsibility

After work, I will go meet a friend to engage in a serious archery competition. He bought a bow (copycat) that is SO much better than mine (according to him) and so the challenge has been set. After that, I have a date at a sushi place I have never been to-- I love going to new restaurants and was told the decor alone makes the place pretty amazing. Then I have to rush off to meet my teammates at the Padres game downtown. Already quite a packed night, wouldn't you say? But, instead of going home after this, I will rush to my friend's house in Hillcrest, get ready, and head downtown to a bar where James Curd of the Greenskeepers will be tonight.

Whew.

Oh, but I forgot one thing. This little thing called "responsibility." What I described above may be impossible to do all in one night, but I won't even get a chance to try. Why? Because I will be sitting in a public speaking class from 6-9. Prime hours of my evening. Gone. Why don't I just skip it, you ask? Because it is a prerequisite for my grad program and I absolutely have to get an A. Now, I could still make it to the bar after class, but then there is this little test called the GRE that is coming up real soon. Therefore, I shouldn't be going out; I should be staying in and studying.

I hate being responsible.
