Emotional Rollercoaster

My life has been an emotional rollercoaster ride-- not always, just the last 6 days. If you would have come up to me last Friday afternoon and told me I'd be creating a blog in order to vent all the following, I would have told you you're crazy.

But here I am.

If you would have told me last Friday at 8 pm that I would no longer be in my current relationship by Monday, I would have said you were completely out of your mind.

But here I am. Alone.

I don't mean "alone" as in there is no one in my life but me, because that simply isn't true. I have an incredible family and the greatest friends. I suppose a better word is single. But my love life is so upside down right now, that I don't even know if I am single. Confused? Ya, me too.

Most of my last 6 days have been very bad days. Tuesday, definitely the worst. If you have to call in sick to work because you cannot possibly peel yourself off your bed or even peel one tear-swollen eyelid open, that is a bad day.

However, each of the last 6 days I have managed at least one laugh. Granted, many of those were tear-choked giggles, but they happened. And that is a wonderful testament to my incredible family and my greatest friends. Okay, okay, and my fantastic sense of humor. In the first few of my terrible days, those laughs also happened while (unbeknownst to me) I was having the conversations that would ultimately conclude with one of the worst conclusions-- the end of my incredible relationship. Our relationship was so good that even in the midst of having the "I think we need to talk" talks, we somehow would get side tracked and end up joking and laughing and enjoying ourselves.

How could a relationship that good be over?
